America is a Nation with strength that rocks, When our President sees a threat, he socks

Every morning, I salute our great country, proud of how America rocks!

So, wise up Iran, stop messin’ around,

And now store all your munitions in the open above ground.

Now you know what suddenly can happen.

So, we trust you’ll now be actin’ with transparency a crackin’.

Please don’t risk another smack on the jaw,

Or you’ll be seein’ how rapidly a regime’s fervor can thaw.

Most autocracies are built upon wood,

Now you’ve seen our saw, so we trust the warning’s understood.

And dear media, enough on aptness of ‘obliterate’

Concentrate instead on cease fire and let’s all of US celebrate!

Tom Madden is a poet, but doesn’t show it, because he’s a journalist at heart, which is how his career would start.  After leaving NBC where he rose to number 2, TransMedia Group was the PR firm he’d start in the heart of the Manhattan media stew. These days he finds it so strange why certain media won’t cheer an act so supreme, as our bravely bombing sense into a warlike regime, obliterating its nuclear dream. Still, after the cease fire occurred, certain media stayed focused on just that word, kept inquiring if our commander in chief’s vocabulary was a bit absurd.  Hearing such nonsense willy-nilly, Madden urges us to move on from semantically silly and this summer, elevate some media temperatures from chilly.
