Dr. Tim Viner is no ordinary dentist. Oh no, pardner. To me, he’s an oral sheriff
In my mind, he’s a combination of Sherlock Holmes and Doc Holliday.
On the sleuth side, he’s forever searching for clues to what’s causin’ cavities and other problems resulting in toothaches. Once he starts applyin’ his arsenal of insight, dental skills, plus an array of instruments and tech, they don’t stand a chance of continuin’ their dirty work.
I’m indebted and beholdin’ to Doc Viner. He’s been my mouth’s marshal for years and I consider him not only a hero, but a good friend I can trust with my teeth.
Viner’s indeed a dauntless dental sheriff. He can look fearlessly straight into any mouth even a troublesome tooth town like a Tombstone with an outlaw problem.
Here’s a brief history.
A dentist by trade, John Henry Holliday, known as Doc Holliday for most of his adult life, was a friend of Wyatt Earp, the famous gambler and lawman in Texas.
Besides my erudite dentist, Doc Viner was a fellow lawman with me in the dental town at 240 W. Palmetto Park Road, where once I owned a PR stable on the top floor in downtown Boca Raton, Fl until Avi T rode into town and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse.
According to stories, Holliday saved Earp’s life, which started their friendship and he joined Earp when he moved further west to Arizona settling in the town of Tombstone, which in 1879 had an outlaw problem.
I settled in a more peaceful, oceanfront condo called The Chalfonte, a short ride from Doc’s office and my friend Avi’s new quarters, where I used to hang out doin’ my PR card tricks our clients loved to watch and media would write about.
The other day a gang similar to the Cochise County Cowboys started causing me some concern as I was feeling a slight discomfort in my oral cavity.
So, I go see my mouth’s marshal, Doc Viner, to root out whatever it might be. And once again, he was quick on the draw with his diagnosis. The expert marksman pinpointed what was bothering me. He said it was no big deal, nothing to worry about. And soon it stopped bothering me as if his words were medicine.
What’s more, he didn’t even charge me for the visit.
Yes, every time he restores law and order in that O.K. Corral I call my mouth, I’m always much obliged to Doc Viner.
He’s the best straight-shootin’, quick on the draw dental sheriff you’ll ever find, and he’ll always be a hero of mine.
Tom Madden has no cavities right now, but plenty of blogs and books he’d like you to not just brush and floss, but read cover to cover, including his latest about a new sheriff on the planet, Planetary Lifeguard, Blowing the Whistle on Climate Change. When he’s not writing, he and his daughter Adrienne Mazzone are managing TransMedia Group, the public relations firm he started when he left NBC, where he was once the #2 ranked executive at 30 Rock in that not very hillbilly City of New York.
