Madden Mischief

That’s right, fellow Americans, this is a time more than ever we need to show unity. 

It has never been timelier to do so after almost losing a candidate for President of the United States by a would-be assassin’s bullet.

That nefarious bullet came only two inches, just two insane inches from possibly having killed the front-running Presidential candidate, a former President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump.

What a reprehensible act, a setback for our democracy that would have been for us all.

No matter what party we’re in, what side of the political spectrum we happen to be on, we’re all Americans!

Let us always remember that first word “United” when we say the pledge to the United States of America.

Let us cool down the rhetoric dividing us, the hate speech inciting us, the mudslinging, the pejorative names and epithets that too many today are slinging at their political opponents.  Let’s put animosity, rancor and violence out to pasture. Let us disagree and argue sensibly, without hate. 

Why? Because whether we’re Republican or Democrat, we’re all Americans and we all believe firmly in freedom and democracy.  Friends, we’re all in this together in this beautiful red, white and blue Nation of ours, the United States of America.

Let’s underline in our hearts that word “united” and act that way, speak that way, think that way, for even when we’re critical and disagree, we can still be civil in our discourse and be–here it comes again, thank God, that inspiring word UNITED.

So, let’s show our right ears proudly wearing our colors as we go to exercise our glorious right to vote. 

Let us demonstrate that while we disagree on programs and solutions to problems plaguing us, we can still respect one another as we all salute the same inspiring symbol of unity—our Flag. 

Sorry to give you an earful on this, but I just couldn’t resist as I love our country and want us all to stop the hateful, antagonistic, inciteful speech.

Instead I urge, I exhort us to inspire one another to be the best we can be, which is why I created hopefully a unifying, inspirational character I call Planetary Lifeguard and wrote a book titled Planetary Lifeguard, Blowing the Whistle on Climate Change.

Whether we believe in climate change or not, let’s all be each other’s lifeguard and stay, that sacred word again, UNITED!
