BLITZER bravely held the feet of mechanically-smiling speaker Pelosi to the fire on CNN last night for turning her back on President Trump’s $1.8 trillion stimulus offer while many of her constituents can’t pay rent or afford food.
I couldn’t believe my eyes watching speaker Pelosi beaming and smiling broadly in the face of CNN’s Blitzer’s withering questions, essentially asking her what’s wrong with you, madam? “$18 trillion is a lot of money!”
“I don’t know why you’re always an apologist – and many of your colleagues – an apologist for the Republican position,” Pelosi pleaded when Wolf pressed her on why she’s not accepting $1.8 trillion stimulus proposed by the White House.
“Why not work out a deal with him. Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good,” howled a deadly serious Wolf to a speaker on auto smile.
“I will not let the wrong be the enemy of the right,” she fired back with a smile.
Blitzer started the interview citing many Americans have been evicted from their homes, they can’t pay their rent and many wait in food lines for the first time.
“Can you look them in the eye Madam Speaker and explain why you don’t want to accept the President’s latest stimulus offer? “I represent those people,” she responded. “When you say why don’t we accept their proposal, why don’t they accept ours?” she said still boldly beaming.
