At the end of each NBC Nightly News, news anchor Lester Holt looks straight into the camera and earnestly says:
“Please take care of yourself, and each other.”
It’s a beautiful thought. He delivers it sincerely. Superbly!
I would just like to suggest one thing. I’d invite Lester to consider adding these words, which would strike an even more noble chord in the hearts and minds of millions of viewers watching him during these discordant times.
I would simply expand his closing remark as follows:
“Please take care of yourself, and each other. No matter what side you’re on, we’re all Americans!
P.S. And I don’t suggest this because I used to be vice president, assistant to the President of, you guessed it, NBC.
