Wait a minute, hold on! Hear the whistle? Time to awake, get in line!
For life’s a parade in which we all play a part and it’s about to start!
Yes, friendships become frayed, successes evade, even love might fade,
But they’ll always be emeralds and jade, arousing serenade, pink lemonade.
So, whatever you do, let not your spirit stew till it marches anew
Not as charade or masquerade, but as it should always be, Life on Parade!
We’re here to set examples for others, our sisters and brothers,
So, play the game, aim and shoot for fame, but if you miss the mark,
Don’t wonder aimlessly in the dark. Find another spark, to enliven your spirit. And if it helps, add spirits to your lemonade to hasten happy return to Life on Parade!
Whether we like it or not, we’re not to oversleep or creep but to march through life, sticking our chests out proudly, chins up high.
Why? Because upbeat leaders put best foot forward, as they’re off to see the wizard in Life on Parade!
Even when we say ‘Goodbye,’ we’ll rave how mystical and buoyant it was,
To have our Life on Parade!
May thee one day march through heaven’s pearly gate where God greets all His faithful, grants all who marched for Him on earth, entry onto the everlasting Paradise on Parade!
