Help, Planetary Lifeguard! Tree in Trouble at Chalfonte

Fellow Chalfonteers, as a former Atlantic City, NJ lifeguard, I can’t help wanting my Planetary Lifeguard to rescue this poor, lonely stump of tree in a sea of trouble day after day in front of our condo.

But I’m not sure whether to pull him or it further in or push it further out of our sight as it’s a tormenting scene.  I’m not even sure if it’s a male or female.

If there are any passionate tree lovers among us, I suggest we form a committee, take a vote to do something.

But right now, I’m just up a tree.

On the plus side, at low tide it’s a handy woody resting place for sandals and personal items when Rita and I take our daily walk up the beach to The Boca Raton.

But at high tide we’re watching a life and death struggle as the ocean keeps trying to capture and take our friend prisoner and out to sea, yet it keeps steadfastly fighting back wanting to stay in our fearless forefront, our oceanfront.

If you don’t know Planetary Lifeguard, it’s the last book I wrote still available on Amazon about why he’s furiously blowing his whistle on climate change, especially now at the start of another hurricane season, as us Chalfanteers live bravely, but precariously on the Florida coastline.

BTW, my next book, my seventh, will be published shortly.  The title is “As America’s Hippest, is Catholicism Now Coolest?”

Here’s what John Riddle, author of 38 books, Founder of “I Love to Write Day,” says about it:

“This compelling narrative intertwines Madden’s personal experiences and profound insights with exceptional storytelling and reflective depth.”

Thanks John and Tree for the plug!

Bye-bye, my fellow Chalfonteers.  But read bravely onward!
