As I said the other day, President Trump could be the smartest poker player on the planet. And maybe he’s at it again.
This time he’s promising soon we’ll own the war-torn Gaza Strip transforming the demolished territory into a thriving Middle Eastern Riviera.
The challenge for his opponents is always his sometimes-uncanny style, his unpredictable nature and the swiftness of his actions in carrying out his mission to make America great again.
They’ll never know for sure what he will or won’t carry out next if they cross him. Yet often the commander in chief’s orders are indeed not only BEST for America, but FAIR!
Now, while Mexican troops are sent off to stop the drug lords and cartels from killing millions of our youth, and Canada is doing something similar to curtail drugs from entering us from on high, we’re seeing results of perhaps the most potent poker weapon of the day–tariffs.
Maybe we need to play like Christopher Reeve as I also blogged recently about that Superman documentary on CNN the other night, tariffing even erring friends into truth, justice and the American way.
Tom Madden is a publicist for good causes like encouraging Nations to play fair, especially with their neighbors or face persuasive consequences. He doesn’t agree with everything President Trump does or the way he thinks sometimes about climate change being a hoax.
It’s why Madden created Planetary Lifeguard, Blowing the Whistle on Climate Change. When not blowing whistles he’s writing news releases for clients of TransMedia Group, the PR firm he started 40+ years ago when he left NBC, where he was vice president, assistant to the president, who was then TV wunderkind, his dear departed friend, Fred Silverman.
